Book Objectives
Dear colleagues, the study of West African history no doubt have received favourable academic attention especially when there was need to demonstrate that the absence of written records does not mean no history. However more recently history is beginning to romance the social sciences, a situation that requires change in the methodology of teaching while retaining existing facts. This requires that teaching and studying West African history as it has been presented lies in it elements of international relations, strategic studies, Diplomacy, Foreign relations, Gender studies, which need to be reflected in its curricular in such a manner not to reflect old stereotypes .This is the objective this book is set to achieve.
