The Northeast Popular/American Culture Association (NEPCA) is seeking paper proposals on the topic of Folklore and Folk Culture for its fall conference to be held on the campus of Western Connecticut State University the weekend of November 11-12, 2011. Those interested in submitting early proposals should email a proposal (maximum 500 words) along with a one-page vita to both the Program Chair, Don Gagnon, at gagnond@wcsu.edu and the Area Chair for Music Folklore and Folk Culture, Lisa LeBlanc, at lleblanc@annamaria.edu.
Since 1974 NEPCA has invited scholars from New England and New York to be part of an expanding intellectual community. Our annual conferences strive to obtain a balance of graduate students, independent scholars, and full-time faculty members. They are designed to be nurturing conferences where works in progress share intellectual space with established scholarship. NEPCA conferences are also affordable for all.
