The History Graduate Student Association at LSU announces the 2011 Graduate History Conference to be held on March 25 & 26, 2011 on LSU's campus in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The Graduate History Conference is an opportunity for graduate student scholars to present original research and receive critical feedback from peers and experts in their respective fields.
The keynote speaker is Dr. Thomas Sugrue, David Boies Professor of History and Sociology at the University of Pennsylvania and winner of the Bancroft Prize in American History for Origins of the Urban Crisis: Race and Inequality in Postwar Detroit.
The conference will also feature presentations from graduate students from across the southeastern United States, covering numerous fields and approaches of historical scholarship and a wide variety of chronological and geographical boundaries.
