In the XXth century architectural magazines have had a key role as vehicle for news transfer and exchange of opinions, written
or constructed. The Congress proposes two panels, one dedicated to study the concept of architectural magazine itself, its mission and objectives, its content –both actual, desired or intended–, its character –artistic, aesthetic, reflective, conceptual, technical–, its authority and documentary value. A second panel aims to gather study cases about the role that magazines played in the early genesis of Modern Spanish Architecture as a media of education and information for architects, and as a channel for the dissemination of
ideas and works, the international approval of their work and the consolidation and affirmation of his convictions.
