Reminder Call for Papers:
The History Graduate Student Association (HGSA) and the Society for Women’s Advancement in Philosophy (SWAP) at Florida State University are pleased to announce the Third Annual Southeastern Regional Graduate Student Conference entitled “Women and Minorities: Past and Present” to be held Saturday, April 9, 2011. Dr. Kathleen Erndl will be presenting her exciting work on the role of women and goddesses in Hinduism. Graduate students in Education, History, History and Philosophy of Science, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, and Religion or any other closely related area are invited to submit a 450-700 word abstract for presentations to fsugradconference@gmail.com by Friday, March 18, 2011. Panels are welcome, but individual papers are accepted. A prize will be awarded to the best history and philosophy paper concerning the role of women. Any number of topics will be accepted.
