Call For Papers: The 10th International Holocaust Studies Conference at Middle Tennessee State University
Global Perspectives on the Holocaust October 19-22, 2011
Individual papers or panels by researchers, faculty members, independent scholars and advanced graduate students on all aspects of Holocaust and genocide studies will be considered, but those connected to the conference topics are especially solicited.
Featured Topics:
•The Holocaust in Europe, Asia, Africa, South America, North America and Australia
•Women and Children in the Holocaust
•Life in the Shanghai, Warsaw and other ghettos
•Rescue—Individuals and Organizations: Sugihara, Wallenberg, HIAS. Fry and others
•The Holocaust: Race, Class, and Gender
•Genocides Past and Present
•Unrecorded Voices: Romany, Gays, Religious and Political Opponents, POWS, etc.
•The Present and Future of Holocaust Education
Please send a one-page individual paper or panel proposal and a vita of no more than 200 words to the address below. Panels should consist of 2-3 presenters and a moderator and must include an abstract and a vita for each presenter.
The deadline for all submissions is April 18, 2011.
Paper/panel decisions will be made by May 15, 2011
