The 2011 Young Rhetoricians' Conference on college rhetoric and composition is part conference, part retreat, and invites reflection and welcomes ideas for encouraging and enabling students' skills and passions relative to all aspects of discourse--cognitive, pragmatic, and artistic. The conference is held at the only hotel on the beach in beautiful Monterey Bay, California, providing a scenic location for learning, reflection, collaboration, where academics, writers, publishers, and lovers of language converge as colleagues to explore the issues of pedagogy, diversity and outcomes, as they affect the way we communicate the skills and joys of language.
