Description: The Interim Haiti Recovery Commission of (IHRC) was created in April 2010 to assist the Haitian government after the catastrophic earthquake of January 12. As its title indicates, the main purpose of the commission is to gather forces for Haiti’s rebuilding process. After months of relative inactivity, recently, there has been acceleration in the meetings of its Board of Directors, led by Haiti’s Prime Minister Jean Bellerive and former U.S. president Bill Clinton, as representative of the United Nations. This presentation will analyze and evaluate the documentation published by the IHRC, especially the December 2010 strategic plan and the January 2011 progress report.
