In 2011 we commemorate that exactly seven centuries ago the Pope Clemens V proclaimed a "canon" urging the Universities of Bologna, Oxford, Paris and Salamanca to teach oriental languages. On this occasion the orientalits of the University of Salamanca have decided to celebrate the International Conference EOS700 and invite to it all researchers interested in analyzing the development, the changes and the main research lines within these studies along their history.
Areas of the Sessions:
-- Anatolian Studies
-- Central and South Asia
-- East Asia
-- Egiptology
-- Arabic and Islam
-- Hebrew and Aramaic
-- Ancient Near East
Languages of the Conference: Spanish, English, French.
Evaluation by scientific comitee required.
