Cultural Identities of the Americas in a Global World

Florida Atlantic University, Florida International University and University of Miami are pleased to announce its ninth annual graduate student conference. The purpose for the conference is to provide a forum for graduate students to share their expertise with peers who have a common interest and passion for the Latin American and Caribbean region.
There will be cash awards for the top three papers, as well as the publication of the top papers in the Florida Atlantic Comparative Studies Journal (FACS).
We invite graduate students to submit an abstract (limit 300-words) electronically to SFSConference@gmail.com. It may address the conference theme, Cultural Identities of the Americas in a Global World, from a variety of fields and disciplines, ranging but not limited to issues of gender, ideas of business and development, literature and film, in order to continue to broaden our perspective of Latin American and Caribbean Issues, past, present and future.
Final papers should be approximately 15-25 double spaced pages and submitted electronically SFSConference@gmail.com. Papers will be accepted in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French and Haitian Creole.
