• the role of non-state actors, including international and regional organisations, in peace-building and post-conflict reconstruction in societies emerging from conflict
• the role of NGOs and civil society in post-conflict reconstruction and reconciliation (including the role of arts, religious, educational and cultural organisations)
• The role of security, policing and intelligence organisations in building and maintaining peace processes
• the domestic responses to post-conflict reconstruction and reconciliation, including truth and reconciliation commissions, social and economic reconstruction, and institution building
Paper proposals should include author details, a title, and 500 word abstract. We welcome papers from established and early stage researchers. You will receive a notification of acceptance from the workshop organisers by 29 April. There may be limited funding available to partially off-set travel and accommodation costs.
It is the intention of the organisers to publish a selection of conference papers in an edited volume or special edition entitled Post-conflict, Peace-building and Reconstruction in Societies Emerging from Conflict
