The European graduate School for Training in Economic and social historical Research (ESTER) organises its annual Research Design Course (RDC) in Évora, Portugal, October
17th-October 21st, 2011. The RDC Course, this year hosted by the University of Évora and supported by the Unger-Van Brero Fund, offers PhD-students a unique opportunity for setting up a high quality and well-designed plan for their dissertation under the guidance of a team of leading senior researchers.
Applying for the RDC at Évora is open to all PhD students in economic and social history who are at least at the end of their first year and at the latest at the end of their second year of their PhD and have actually been working on their own research for at least 6 months by the time they begin writing their paper.
