Call for Papers
International Conference on Modern Slavery in Europe and Beyond in Warsaw
Epoka University, Albania and University of Economics, Computer Science, Warsaw, have decided to held an international on Modern Slavery. The conference will take place in Warsaw at ul. Stokłosy 3, 02-787 Warszawa, on 09 April 2011.
The Conference Organising Committees invite people in all disciplines and interdisciplinary areas of the arts, business, social sciences, humanities, science and education including postgraduate students, academics, scholars and professionals to submit abstracts/proposals or papers, panels, workshops, or media productions on current manifestations of modern slavery/ human trafficking and related topics in Europe and beyond for the Conference.
Conference Scope
It is known fact that modern day slavery is real and hundreds of thousands of men, women and children are subjected to be being forced into situations of labour, organ trafficking and sexual exploitation in every part of the world every year. This has been identified as a serious threat to human security and development by some governments, pressure groups and the UN. However, it is quite new topic to be discussed in academia. This conference tries to focus on the types and extent of trafficking as well as countering the modern slavery in various part of world in general and particularly in Europe.

Paper Submission and Selection
Contributed papers will be selected through a blind review process of the abstracts (not more than 300 words) which should contain a clear indication of the purpose of the research and its relationship with the Conference topics, the approach used the major results, and the implications.
Publication and Conference Proceedings
Accepted abstracts/proposals or papers, panels, workshops, or media productions will be published before the conference has begun and distributed to the attendance. All presented papers will be published as Conference Proceedings after academically edited and reviewed.
Important dates and deadlines:
Abstracts/proposals or papers, panels, workshops, or media productions should be submitted by e-mail no later than 15th of March 2011, with a clear indication of the authors, affiliations and contacts in the separate page, to allow for the blind review process. Contact authors will be notified only upon acceptance of their abstract by 21st March 20011 and the deadline for the submission of the full papers will be 27th of March 2011.
