The International History Department at LSE is globally renowned for its ground breaking research and in-depth specialist courses based upon the very latest scholarly findings. A master’s programme in the International History Department offers unrivalled access to a faculty team who are internationally lauded experts in their field with particular expertise on the Cold War, US Foreign Policy, the Middle East, the First World War, Russia and Empires, as well as offering courses on Early Modern Europe.
The Department offers five different graduate programmes:

LSE-Columbia Double MA Degree in International and World History
All programmes provide students with the maximum flexibility to pursue three taught courses in the Department whilst also researching a 10,000 word dissertation. The programmes are aimed at students who want to develop their understanding of international history and prepare themselves for a rewarding career in academia or policy making.
