The Southern Foodways Alliance seeks presenters who have done research/work in the areas of religion and agriculture for a 2011 October conference studying the Cultivated South. There is special interest in projects addressing agriculture in Christian and/or Nation of Islam communities. The audience is a mix of writers, scholars, chefs, and intellectually curious eaters. Scholars and students who research religion and agriculture topics are encouraged to e-mail sfamail@olemiss.edu for more information on the conference and with ideas for presentations. Questions welcome. Conference presenters receive honorarium and travel stipend.
