The Southern Foodways Alliance seeks presenters who have done research/work in the areas of religion and agriculture for a 2011 October conference studying the Cultivated South. There is special interest in projects addressing agriculture in Christian and/or Nation of Islam communities. The audience is a mix of writers, scholars, chefs, and intellectually curious eaters. Scholars and students who research religion and agriculture topics are encouraged to e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on the conference and with ideas for presentations. Questions welcome. Conference presenters receive honorarium and travel stipend. For more information on the SFA and the types of presentations we sponsor, visit www.southernfoodways.org and click on the events link.
