Call for paper
CONFERENCE: EUROPEAN POLITICAL CULTURES AND PARTIES AND THE EUROPEAN INTEGRATION PROCESS, 1945-1992

IMT Institute for Advanced Studies Lucca and the University of Padua invite scholars to submit research paper proposals.
The subject of the conference will be “European Political cultures and the European integration process, 1945-1992”. Priority will be given to proposals dealing with the relationship between political parties and the European integration process at the national and supranational level, both covering the entire time-span considered by the conference, and concentrating on specific turning-points.
Proposals related to this topic in the field of intellectual history and economic history will be considered and might as well be accepted, but only after the above-mentioned priorities are fulfilled.
Applicants should submit to email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org by 30th April 2011 a single Word or PDF file containing 400-word (about 2000 characters) abstract of the proposed research paper and a brief academic CV. The file should be titled: “Your Name IMT Conference 2011”.
Notification of acceptance will be made by 30th June 2011. Successful applicants will be expected to email their written papers by 31st October 2011.
Papers can be submitted in English, French, Spanish or Italian but presentation and discussion at the conference will be in English and in French.
IMT will provide lodging and meals at the conference; within the limits of the conference budget IMT will also meet travelling expenses.
