Argosy University, Sarasota is pleased to announce the 7th Annual Traumatology Symposium, May 6-7, 2011. This signature event brings together experts in prevention, treatment and research of trauma to share their knowledge and network with counseling professionals, administrators, educators, and other practitioners.
Presentations will focus on current research, counseling skills and interventions, assessment tools and techniques, disaster preparation and response training, and community action in the areas of environmental trauma, preventing and responding to workplace or school violence, innovative and alternative approaches for trauma treatment, cyber-bullying, ethical considerations, working with military members and their families and practitioner perspectives: lessons learned, career opportunities.
The Red Cross is sponsoring a day long disaster training preparation for licensed counselors only. ACA and APA approved CEU's are available.
