Held at the East-West Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, and open to middle and high school teachers of humanities, this three-week NEH Institute (June 26-July 15, 2011) examines the historical contexts and strategic aspects of World War II in Southeast Asia. Participants will receive $2,700 in stipends to help with travel, housing, meal, and book expenses. Affordable campus housing will be available on first-come, first-served basis.
