The KIAS International Undergraduate Interdisciplinary Conference, Tomorrow’s Ideas Now, will be a premier student conference for those working in the Social Sciences, Humanities and Fine Arts. The conference will run from August 17-20, 2011 at the University of Alberta campus.
Students must apply for and be accepted to attend the conference; applications will be judged based on the merit. A limited number of Travel and Accommodation Grants will be available on a competitive basis. Registration is $100 and covers food and event costs for the conference. Applications are due Monday, May 9, 2011 by 4:30 p.m. MST to: firstname.lastname@example.org.Adjudication will be carried out by University of Alberta's professors, giving participants an academically refereed paper for their CV. Working on the established KIAS research themes, students will explore their research questions through essays, creative performances, poster presentations, and much more. KIAS welcomes a variety of presentations, from scholarly papers and posters, to music, dance, dramatic interpretations, multimedia and more.
