NANO: New American Notes Online
Brief, unpublished notes are sought for NANO: New American Notes Online—A new interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed, humanities journal. The goal at NANO is to invigorate humanities discourse by publishing brief, peer-reviewed reports with a fast turnaround enabled by new technologies. NANO welcomes original notes from all fields in the humanities, particularly literature, film, history, music, rhetoric, philosophy, and art. Each issue focuses on a special topic designed to encourage new interpretations and new possibilities. NANO is currently accepting notes for our 2011 issues. Our average article length is approximately 8 pages, or about 2,000 words. Maximum submission length: 2,500 words (sound/film projects should be shorter than 10 minutes in duration). Issue 1.2 Special Theme: Mystery, the Unknown, Surprise, deadline: 18 March 2011. Issue 1.3 Special Theme: In Your Face: Aggressive Art, Design, and Architecture, deadline: 1 July 2011.
