The 2nd Flying University of Transnational Humanities to be held June 25-29, 2011 at Hanyang University, Seoul, Korea is under full-fledged preparations.
For this year's FUTH, we are planning to keep the size of student participation moderate, at around 25 participants.
As a 5-day summer school, FUTH 2011 will consist of 2 teaching sessions and 2 graduate sessions(with student presentations) each day from day 1 through day 4, and a wrap-up session on day 5, under the theme of "Border-crossing Self." Our teaching sessions will be led by speakers including Ien Ang (Univ. of Western Sydney), Boris Buden (European Inst. for Progressive Cultural Policies, Vienna), Jie-Hyun Lim (Hanyang Univ.), Sandro Mezzadra (Univ. of Bologna), David Newman (Ben Gurion Univ.) and William Walters (Carleton University). The speakers will also participate as commentators in the graduate sessions.
