Cultural Resources’ Western Office in Asheville Is Temporarily Closed, Moving to New Location

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The Western Office of the N.C. Department of Cultural Resources is moving to a new location. The Western Office is closed Jan. 24 through Friday, Feb. 4, in order to transition and become organized in the new facility.
The office will reopen on Monday, Feb. 7, at its new location, 176 Riceville Road, Asheville N.C. 28805. Visitors should plan accordingly and visit the office when services resume at the new east Asheville site.
The new facility will provide better access to technical support. For questions or more information, call (828) 274-6789.
The phone number at the new office, starting Feb. 7, will be (828) 296-7230. Staff contact information will be updated following Feb. 7 on the Western Office Web site, http://www.history.ncdcr.gov/sections/wo/. The site supervisor is Jeff Futch.
