Dear colleagues!
We are glad to inform you that the Section “Philology” is to take place on the Philological Faculty of the Moscow State University during the XVIII th International Conference for Students, Postgraduates and Young Scholars on the 14-15th of April in 2011.
The following Sections and Subsections are to be held:
The Russian Language (its history, etymology, dialectology, phonetics and phonology, lexicology and lexicography, morphology, syntax, language of fiction, speech and text, cognitive linguistics)
Russian for Foreign Students (theory and methodology of teaching)
Rhetoric
General and Contrastive Linguistics
Theoretical and Applied Linguistics
Philology of Slavonic Languages
Classical Philology
Byzantian and Romaic Philology
The English Language
The French Language
The German Language
Germanic and Celtic Studies
Finno-Ugric Studies
Baltic Literature and Languages
Romance Studies
Ibero-Romance Studies
Russian Folklore
Theory of Literature (the main issues, comparative literary criticism)
History of the Russian Literature (the Old Russian literature, the literature of the XVIIIc., the literature of the XIXc.)
History of the Russian Literature of the XXc. (literature of the Silver Age, literature of the XXc., Russian-language literature abroad, the newer Russian literature)
History of the World Literature.
The following Panel Discussions are to be held:
• dedicated to the 300th anniversary of M.V. Lomonosov’s Birth: Language and Literature of the XVIII th century.
• dedicated to the 180th anniversary of N.S. Leskov’s Birth: The Language and Poetics of the Works by N.S. Leskov.
• dedicated to the 190th anniversary of F.M. Dostoevskiy’s Birth: F.M. Dostoevskiy in terms of literary criticism and linguistics.
• dedicated to the 200th anniversary of V.G. Belinskiy’s Birth: Literature and Literary Criticism: Tradi-tions and Innovations.
• dedicated to the 140th anniversary of publishing Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There by Lewis Carroll: Alice in Terms of Culture, Literature and Linguistics.

The summary of your paper is to be sent via www.lomonosov-msu.ru/~smu from 1st of January, till 25th of February, 2011 (use our electronic registration system). It is the only way of sending your summary. Pay attention to the Requirements for the Arrangement and Design.
The summaries will be selected on a competitive basis. The collection of the summaries is to be published by the Organizing Committee (on a CD with ISBN). Please, e-mail Ekaterina Igorevna Kislova, the Ex-ecutive Secretary, if having any questions: conf.philol@gmail.com.
Students, postgraduates and young scholars (namely teachers without a scientific degree, applicants, lecturers and candidate senior professors under the age of 35) are allowed to participate in the Conference.

Thanks to funding through Moscow State Lomonosov University, the organizers can offer dormitory accommodation during all days of the “LOMONOSOV-2011” conference (11-15 April 2011), and some refreshments on the days of the meeting, but travel must be covered by the participants themselves.
If you need visa, please, submit your paper no later than 15 February 2011.
