I am looking for scholars whose work addresses the New Deal or Great Depression in global context. My proposed paper focuses on the cultural history of sugar trade and imperial policies during the Roosevelt administration. I'm interested in hearing from scholars whose work considers any aspect of the New Deal considered in international, transnational, or imperial context. Work that focuses on a particular commodity would be especially appealing.
