I already sent you this request, but I haven't seen it posted yet - perhaps I got the wrong address - so I'll try again, We are working to get a Popular Culture Association of Canada off the ground (with help from the PCA/ACA) and will be holding our first annual conference in May. The original call was posted on H-Net but was buried in a multiple announcement of some 60 other events and CFPs.
Would you please put out a separate announcement on the listserve of the extended for the call for papers. I know you do this for some topics. It would be much appreciated - we have some hotel rooms to fill!

Call for Papers: Extended Deadline
The inaugural conference of the Popular Culture Association of Canada will be held at the Sheraton Fallsview Hotel and Conference Centre, Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, Thursday May 12 - Saturday May 14, 2011.
We invite proposals for papers and panels (of 3 or 4 papers) from scholars and students working in all areas of popular culture studies.
Single paper proposals should consist of a title, an abstract of no more than 250 words, and a list of keywords or key phrases (maximum 5), and should be accompanied by a brief biographical note of 100 words or less.
Panel proposals should include all of the above information for each presenter, plus a proposed title for the panel and a brief rationale.
The extended deadline for proposals is January 31, 2011.
