The International Brecht Society seeks papers on "Multi-mediated Brecht" for a session at the Modern Language Association conference in Seattle (Jan. 5-8, 2012):
Brecht has been seminal in two prominent ways for visual culture and media theory. We seek to understand 1) how visual elements function to transform many of his productions into multimedia events, and 2) how the realization of his “radio theory” reveals possibilities and risks in the interactive digital age when distribution media are transformed into communications media with the help of a feedback channel. Send 200-word abstracts by 16 March 2011 to:
Kristopher Imbrigotta (imbrigotta@wisc.edu) and Henning Wrage (hwrage@wisc.edu)
