With apologies for cross-posting.
Announcing new online journal Imaginations: Journal of Cross-Cultural Image Studies/Revue d’études interculturelles de l’image.
Imaginations is an open-access online peer-reviewed journal born out of research and developments in cross-cultural and intersecting epistemological fields that have at their root a determined focus on the role and power of the image in contemporary culture and in cultural communications. The journal aims to foster the critically engaged participation of writers, readers, and forgers of the image, who find in Imaginations a venue for engaging in a continuous exchange of ideas and discourse practices.
The inaugural issue features work by Moving Image Artist Midi Onodera, an interview between the artist and Sheena Wilson, as well as contributions by Will Straw, Marc Silberman, Bertrand Gervais, Fabrizio Scrivano, Davide Sparti, and Russell Cobb, and a book review by Lucy Weir.
You are invited to explore the journal and to read current and upcoming calls for papers on both platforms:
