Las VI Jornadas de Historia y Cultura de América, girarán en torno al tema "La construcción de las independencias: la guerra de independencia de España y el levantamiento hispanoamericano". Tendrán lugar en la ciudad de Montevideo el 22, 23 y 24 de junio de 2011 y reunirán a destacados académicos de España, Latinoamérica y Estados Unidos. Será una instancia de intercambio académico, especialmente para jóvenes americanistas a quienes alentamos a mandar sus trabajos de investigación. La fecha límite de admisión de ponencias será el 1ero de abril de 2011.
This international congress regarding "La construcción de las independencias: la guerra de independencia de España y el levantamiento hispanoamericano" will take place in Montevideo (Uruguay)on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th of june of 2011, and will gather specialists from Spain, Latin America and the United States. We also encourage young researchers (specially those doing graduate research) to submit papers. The deadline for submissions is April 1st 2011.
