Dear Friends of NATSA (North American Taiwan Studies Association),
Any panel and paper abstract to be sent by 31st December is cordially welcomed.
Winter greetings from NATSA! We’re delighted to announce that Professor Lin Man-houng, the President of Academia Historica in Taiwan (台灣國史館館長,林滿紅教授) and Professor Chang Mau-Kuei of Academia Sinica (台灣中央研究院,張茂桂教授) will be keynote speakers in 2011 NATSA annual conference at University of Pittsburgh in 17th and 18th June, 2011.
Furthermore, Joseph Wong (University of Toronto) and Alan Wachman (Tufts University, MA) will be two of the four discussants in NATSA’s exciting round table discussion, which will be held at the end of the conference. The forum is titled “From National Identity to Global Citizenship: Discovering Taiwan’s Niche and Responsibility." The purpose of this forum is to create a dialogue to discover new opportunities and visions for Taiwan’s future development without being distracted by the traditional political divide based on national identities.
Looking forward to seeing you next June,
NATSA 2011 Committee
