The Russian, East European, and Eurasian Center (REEEC) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign offers scholars an extensive opportunity to advance their research and careers through the Summer Research Lab (SRL). The program provides access to the University Library and an opportunity to consult the expert librarians of the Slavic Reference Service (SRS). Graduate students and junior scholars have the chance to participate in specialized workshops and programming current with area studies’ trends.
The SRL is open for an eight-week period from June to August. Scholars may schedule visits any time during this period. Besides having access to the library, associates may also take part in workshops, discussion groups, seminars, conferences, and other events that are scheduled during the first fours weeks of the Lab. The latter half of the SRL is devoted to library research.
