This Call for Manuscripts is for the special issue on the Culture & Politics of Incarceration for the Journal of the Institute of Justice & International Studies. This topic is also the title of the April 6, 2011 Symposium being hosted by the Institute of Justice & International Studies at the University of Central Missouri.
For details on the Symposium and invited speakers, see www.ucmo.edu/cjinst. Papers presented by the invited speakers at the Symposium will form the core of the Special issue; accepted manuscripts solicited in this Call will provide further views. Because of the breadth of the subject-matter of the topic of the Culture & Politics of Incarceration, it is anticipated that manuscripts will be submitted from many academic disciplines and from around the world.
