The Department of History Graduate Student Association and History Department at FIU invite proposals for panels and individual papers for their graduate student conference to be held on March 25 and 26, 2011. While the theme “Tradewinds: The Many Revolutions in the Atlantic World,” seeks to engage junior scholars in opening a discussion of the multiple cultural, economic, intellectual, political, and social revolutions taking place throughout the Atlantic from 1492 to the present, students in any field of historical study are invited to submit proposals.
On Friday March 25, the conference will begin with check-in and a keynote address given by Dr. Jeremy Adelman (Princeton University). The following day will be composed of panels.
