OBJECTIVE
The world is concerned with depletion and rising cost of non-renewable energy resources, energy security, its access, and environmental impacts of energy usage. At the same time, with distributed and clean energy resources becoming widespread there is an increased worldwide attention towards Smart Grids which enable the connection of these resources while maintaining the efficiency, reliability and security of the power system. Similarly, intelligent networks and pervasive computing that enables one to attach itself to every living space possible, so that human beings remain intact with the wireless technology intentionally and unintentionally, are getting more and more intense focus. Recent research focus is on the keyword “MAGIC” i.e. Mobile Multimedia Anytime anywhere Global Mobility Support. Integrated Circuit and personalized services. As significant research works are being conducted in these areas, it is timely to launch the IET Chennai 2nd International Conference named Sustainable Energy and Intelligent Systems (SEISCON 2011) in July 2011 at Dr.MGR University, Chennai, India.
This is the second conference of a regular series of international biennial conferences being planned to bring together professionals and executives in the energy sector, electrical power companies, manufacturing industries, research institutes and educational bodies to share and exchange ideas and information pertaining to sustainable energy and Intelligent technologies.
Authors are invited to submit the full paper of no more than 6 pages in one or more of the technical areas identified below. The Proceedings of the conference will be included in the IET/IEEE Xplore digital library and indexed by EI.
