RALEIGH, N.C. — The North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources is accepting applications for two positions, one located in northeastern North Carolina and one in the Piedmont, to work in the field of cultural and heritage development.
The individuals selected will prepare strategies to organize, develop and market cultural, arts and heritage tourism assets for cultural/heritage traveler preferences. In eastern North Carolina, the focus of work will include support for regional activities and events relevant to the Civil War Sesquicentennial.
The focus of work for the position based in the Piedmont will be development of a statewide African American cultural trail to foster ways for travelers to engage with and participate in contemporary and arts and heritage experiences and activities.
