The deadline for submission of abstracts for the Texas A&M University History Graduate Conference has been extended to Thursday, December 9, 2010. The conference organizers took this action in response to numerous requests from prospective presenters faced with multiple semester-end deadlines.
Conference organizers are pleased to announce that the keynote speaker for the February 26, 2011 event will be Dr. H.W. Brands, Dickson Allen Anderson Centennial Professor of History and Government at The University of Texas at Austin. Professor Brands is the author of more than 20 books and is currently writing a biography of Franklin Roosevelt. His fields of expertise include American presidents; Franklin Roosevelt; Andrew Jackson; Woodrow Wilson; Benjamin Franklin; and the Cold War.
