The inaugural PLATO Institute, (the Philosophy Learning and Teaching Organization), will take place on Tues - Wed, June 29-29, 2011, at Teachers College in NYC. All teachers of philosophy at the elementary and secondary school levels are invited. Sessions will cover how to teach the major branches of philosophy, and participants will have an opportunity to network and share resources and support. The Institute is co-sponsored by the American Philosophical Association's Committee on Pre-College Instruction in Philosophy and the Squire Family Foundation.
