The Canadian Defence Academy in collaboration with the Royal Military College of Canada, will host a symposium on 6-7 June 2011 in Ottawa Canada. This symposium will provide an opportunity to explore topics of interest to universities, defence academies and professional institutions, both Canadian and international, whose objectives include the intellectual and professional advancement of military professionals.
Canada is not unique in its efforts to define, explain and conduct learning programmes which are both underpinned by military scholarship and productive of military scholarship. These programmes are aimed at a professional body that must be knowledgeable, if not expert, in a rapidly changing range of defence and security circumstances.
