Southern Literature and Regional Foodways

The Society for the Study of Southern Literature issues a call for papers for ALA sessions considering the relationship between foodways and southern writing at the 2010 American Literature Association Conference in Boston. All relevant proposals will be considered, but special attention will be given to proposals exploring literary
representations of particular ethnic foodways in the South and/or studies of contemporary authors working in genres other than novel-length fiction, including drama, stories, poetry, and memoir. Relevant creative work is also welcomed. The conference will be held May 26-29, 2011, at the Westin-Copley Place.
