Call for Panelists: Gendering New Negro Activism
Seeking interested scholars to contribute papers for a panel exploring New Negro activism through gendered terms for the 2011 meeting of the American Studies Association in Baltimore, Maryland. This panel aims to discuss civil rights, in the context of the long civil rights movement, and social activism through the lens of masculine, feminine, and/or queer identity.
