The newly established GSA Forum on Kinship and the Family invites proposals for papers and panels for the Annual Conference of the German Studies Association, to be held on September 22 - September 25, 2011, in Louisville, Kentucky. We are particularly interested in theoretically informed interdisciplinary approaches relating to kinship and family, and we are eager to consider proposals by scholars who are new to the GSA, or by disciplines that have been underrepresented at previous GSA meetings. The Forum on Kinship and the Family seeks to organize a number of sessions, and we would be especially grateful for coherent panel proposals (three papers per panel is the norm).
