The History Council of NSW is concerned that the recently appointed National Commission on the Commemoration of the Anzac Centenary does not include an historian. As the commission has been appointed to consider how an historical event can be commemorated, we feel the appointment of an historian is vital. The Council has written to the Commission urging them to consider appointing an advisory panel of historians to reflect the extensive scholarship that has been produced regarding Australian involvement in the First World War. We urge you to write too, we are sending our letter to:
