Call for papers - PhD Experience conference, Hull University, 8th-10th February 2011.
The University of Hull’s Graduate School is holding a three day conference for current, prospective and post-doctoral researchers, academics and professionals to explore all aspects of the PhD process. The conference will provide a stimulating environment for delegates to develop their understanding of the PhD process by sharing in the experiences of others.
The conference will centre on a number of themed workshops covering the whole PhD experience. This call for papers is for current PhD students or post-doctoral researchers to present a paper of no more than 15 minutes in length on one of the following topics. The papers must be accessible to delegates from all disciplines, and therefore your focus should be on your own general experience and not your specific subject or research project.
Themes: Networking, Reflection, the Research Process, Writing and Publishing , Research Perspectives, the Viva Voce, Career Management – From Here to There
Abstracts of no more than 250 words for papers not exceeding 15 minutes should be submitted by 22nd November 2010 to the organisers at phdconf@hull.ac.uk. Please include the title of your paper, the themed session your paper is intended for, your name, e-mail address, institutional affiliation, and any AV requirements.

Registration forms are available now from the conference website or by request from phdconf@hull.ac.uk. A conference fee of £10.00 is payable on registration.
