The next 2-3 December the University of Florence will host the Conference “Mediterranean: History and Politics”. The project is organized by the CIMA (Machiavelli Center for Cold War Studies) and by the Bettino Craxi Foundation.
Assuming that many the current events that involve the Mediterranean region could be better explained through an historical approach, the conference will analyse the political, economic, social and cultural transformations of this area and will explore the long-term dynamics that have in the Mediterranean their focus, with the contributions of distinguished Italian and foreign scholars.
