Please join us for the 2011 Joint National PCA/ACA and SWTX Regional Conference in San Antonio, Texas! In keeping with this year's theme, the Gender and Sexuality Area will be looking for Alternative, Queer and LGBT Television, Film, Music and Media submissions. Submissions are desired from scholars, and educators; we are particularly pleased to encourage graduate student participation! This year's conference seeks to examine issues of visibility and the lenses through which LGBTQ identities are made available to audiences, listeners and readers of media within the US today. Of particular interest this year:
Queer Cinema and Film
Queer Music Videos
Transgendered Telenarratives and Characters
LGBTQ "Reality" Television
