Call for Papers Date:
The editors of the Journal of the Oxford University History Society (JOUHS) are now asking for submissions for the next issue. We are happy to consider research articles in the following subject areas:
Approaches to History
Early Modern History
History of the British Isles
History of Science
History of Art
Additionally, JOUHS accepts other items for publications: essays, book reviews, conference papers, interviews, reports of OUHS events and reviews of exhibitions and conferences. We also consider reports on ongoing research, in the form of snapshots of research, bibliographical checklists, and so on. This material provides a useful platform for scholars to disseminate information about their collaborative or individual research projects.
JOUHS aims to reflect the activities and interests of the Oxford University Historical Society; establish scholarly links in the varied community of historians at the University of Oxford; to serve as a discussion forum for the international community of undergraduates, postgraduate students and scholars. It also aims to provide a medium for contact between undergraduate, postgraduate students and established academics. We welcome submissions from students and scholars from both within and outside Oxford.
Articles are peer-reviewed. The authors identity is not provided to the referee. Please submit a cover page that includes the article title, author name and contact details (an email address is sufficient). The article itself should not include any identifying information. Please avoid self-identification within the article and the footnotes.
Please consult the guidelines for contributors on our website: http://sites.google.com/site/jouhsinfo/
Please send your submission as an e-mail attachment (Word format) to JOUHSinfo@gmail.com
The deadline for submission of articles for the next issue is 21st January 2011.
