The Puerto Rican island of Vieques has a rich and varied history unknown even to many of its residents. The "Museum and Archive of Vieques History" has involved the entire island community in the process of conserving, documenting and sharing the 300-year history of the island's residents. Prof. Robert Rabin, director of the Vieques Historical Museum, will share the development and the objectives of this innovative project in the conference, "Memories of Vieques", which will be held at the Jesus T. Pinero Reading Room at the Universidad del Este in Carolina on Wednesday, November 17 at 7:00 p.m.
