The 12th annual Litery Festival & Scholars Day will be held at Newman University on March 31st-April 1st, 2011. This year's theme is "The Well-Spread Fable: Food and Its Meanings." The keynote speaker is Sandra Sherman, JD, PhD, LLM, author of The Invention of the Modern Cookbook (Greenwood Press), three other books and over 60 articles. Sherman's talk is titled "What Does Food History Teach Us About Us?" Interdisciplinary or creative approaches to the conference topic or related topics are welcome and encouraged.
