|
|
Judith Sargent Murray scholar Bonnie Hurd Smith presents "Forming a New Era in Female History:" The Life and Legacy of Judith Sargent Murray" in a lively, engaging format using many of Murray's own words. Smith's talk is designed for young women, history enthusiasts, and scholars alike, as she tells Murray's inspiring story as one of America's earliest champions of female equality and arguably the most important female essayist of the New Republic. Smith's work on Murray's letter books has been called groundbreaking. Her recent brief biography of Murray, available online only, is her latest contribution.
