The HGSA at the University of Maryland, College Park is pleased to announce its 6th Annual History Graduate Student Conference to be held February 24th and 25th (the panels and keynote will be held on the 25th) and to issue this call for papers to graduate students of all levels. This year’s transnational theme is “Transients, Transactions, Transgressions: Exchange and Interaction In and Beyond the Nation State.”
-Location: Campus, University of Maryland, College Park
-All panel speakers and commentators will be graduate students.
-Paper proposals must be submitted by 7 November 2010.
-Proposals must be no more than 300 words and should include the scholar’s name, home institution, e-mail address, the fundamental research question addressed in the paper, the evidence and methodological approaches to be used, and the argument to be made.
-If selected, participants will be asked to submit a 10-15 page final version of their paper by
9 January 2011.
