University of Wisconsin's School of Library and Information Studies (SLIS) is celebrating SLIS Week from October 18 to 22, a week in which we share information about our most significant activities with our alumni, supporters, colleagues, and each other (please see the downloadable invitation at http://www.slis.wisc.edu/).
The most significant part for those interested in print culture is the CHPC Open House from noon-1.00 on Tuesday, October 19 in the SLIS Commons. Please encourage students and colleagues to come and find out who we are and what we do, and come yourself.
We also very much hope that you can come to the SLIS exhibit (2.30-4.00) and reception (4.00 to 6.00) on Friday October 22 in the SLIS Commons and Library. The exhibit will feature SLIS student research, practicum experiences, community engagement groups, student organizations, and Continuing Education, as well as the Center for the History of Print Culture. At the reception, we are looking forward to seeing campus colleagues (including librarians, administrators, and faculty), students, alumni, staff, and emeriti).
